  Disgusting! There should be a review of the law!!! They should be forced to give evidence! The law and the GB protect the abusers. Makes me sick.

  Time demands of the Jehovah's Witness religion compared with other religions?

  i've been wondering how other religions, such as other christian denominations, would compare to the jw's in their time demands.. .

  i'll lay out the approximate hours per week below.

  (i know some of the meeting lengths have changed in recent years, and the bookstudy has been abolished.

  Welsh Baptist Church...1 hour on a Sunday. Sunday School for kids....half an hour. Womens group....1 hour Wednesday. Saturday.....fun day/fete/meet n cook/general chat/quiz/music for kids.....every 2nd Sunday in the month.

  Friday Fun Post- Mother Theme

  last friday, we posted wedding-themed stuff just for fun in honor of the royal wedding of kate and william.. i considered an osama bin ladin theme, but that's not really light and fun to everyone.. so, in honor of mother's day this sunday (in the u.s. anyway), we should post anything for/about/to/from mothers for a laugh or a smile here.. pictures, videos, stories, jokes.

  Here in the Uk, weve had Mothers Day x

  A week before my mum passed away (nothing to do with this story) she was arrested - drunk driving. She was on her scootermobile, which my hubby had pimped for her "Pimp my ride Kev!".....so there she was going 10 MPH up a 30 deg hill on the 2 miles journey back home, and she was 3 sheets to the wind...(Knowing mam...about 6 double vodkas!) All her flags, ribbons, and personalised number plate (CRUELLA DE VILLE) must have caught the attention of the local police....it was about 10pm and she was singing songs from the musicals at the top of her voice....

  She was arrested and chucked in the cells to cool off. She was 64 by the way. God she was a hellova girl.x

  today, i decided for a change that id just go!

  it was so boring... one young sister gave a good talk however.

  Hi Timmy, Ive been wondering how you are getting on!

  Im glad you are putting on the new personality.......the real you is emerging like a butterfly from a cocoon...........just wonderful!

  You know now that the organisation you are in condems homosexuality and they will never accept you. You dont NEED their acceptance, or approval actually. Accept YOURSELF. Be YOURSELF. You dont NEED them to have faith.

  I knew it would be a matter of time before you got the "we are worried about you" spiel..........tell them "You dont need to worry about me, Im FINE!" What were your reasons for going to that particular meeting after missing so many?

  If you SERIOUSLY consider the basic "truths" of the org, as "suggested" by the sister, you will find the whole thing is a farce. So I agree with her in that respect, DO SOME RESEARCH ABOUT IT!!

  Im so glad your relationship is going well, I know he supports you. Please keep up up-to-date on your progress, I hope you find the courage to leave them and embrace Jesus Christ instead. He wont let you down!

  once again i've looked at it from the point of view of the governing body dictating to their secretary, the text to rush down to the printing press.. page 21 para 16/17.

  - some loser once took offense that i hugged a sister goodbye at a leaving do and ran back to the elders like a little child telling on me.

  i was 15, this sister was in her 40s at the time.. - this elder said someone told him they saw me with a copy of the sun newspaper.

  yes, this paper is known for its 'page 3' topless girls but far from pornagraphic and i wasn't even thinking along those lines.. - one brother who had a good job was 'counselled' because he was actually able to buy himself nice things including a new car (shock, horror!!

  When I became a study and begin to attend the hall, I was told to put plasters on my ankles to cover up my 2 tattoos, in case I enticed the brothers into looking at my tattoos and legs, and cause them to stumble. I was also cautioned in a joking way not to wear "V" line tops as it emphasised my 42DDs......but it was a sister that cautioned me that time. God made me that way!! ?
